Knowledge and Mindset of Resident doctors towards Tuberculosis patients: An Observational Study

Introduction: A major source of morbidity and mortality in India, tuberculosis [TB] is an infectious bacterial illness brought on by the mycobacterium tuberculosis. To control and eradicate the illness, resident doctors must have the appropriate knowledge and attitude.
Aim: To assess knowledge and mindset of resident doctors toward tuberculosis.
Materials and Methods: The research involved 100 resident doctors. To evaluate their attitude and knowledge, a questionnaire survey was conducted.
Results: A 22 was the mean knowledge score. Residents in medicine with experience treating TB and training in the disease have higher understanding in clinical areas. Just 40% of resident physicians wanted to assist TB patients.
